Darren Jones MP
From February-May 2019, I worked with a team of 5 people on a brief set by Darren Jones, MP for Bristol North West. He tasked us with engaging disengaged constituents within his constituency with the overarching aim to bring change to the role of an MP's office.
The result of our project was called Coming of Age - a scheme for schools which seeks to educate the youth of today in our political system and how they can make it work for them. The aim for this, is was for the school children to discuss these classes with their parents so they could, by proxy, learn more about politics.
The secondary goal of this solution to Darren's brief is that after trialling and testing with schools in his constituency, he could bring the idea to parliament to enforce it as compulsory in all schools. By such means, he would be implementing the Design Thinking process into the work of his office, thereby succeeding in completing his overarching aim.
