HGV Brakes Testing
In 2015 I worked as part of a team of young engineers, with a multinational HGV brakes manufacturer to improve one of their prototype testing facilities.
Our task was to create an upgrade for one of their most used testing facilities — called the static stroking test — which could produce a continuous log of pressure and force data for their HGV brake mechanisms. My role within the team was primarily communications and research, so it was my job to act as liaison with the engineer from the company, arrange details for meetings and tours of the facility, and also to produce CAD drawings during the development stage of the process.
