KWMC: The Factory
From October-December 2018, I worked, as part of a team of Design Consultants, responding to a brief set by Knowle West Media Centre in Bristol to improve and update their space called "The Factory".
The Factory is a collaborative "MakerSpace" in Knowle West, Bristol, which offers users tools and opportunity to make and create whatever they can imagine. Part of their vision for what the Factory is and what it does is that the space be more conducive to collaborative working between users.
After spending time in the space and talking with users about issues they were facing, we found that users needed several key problems solved and to create one single solution, would be unbalanced. Hence, we created a suite of concepts that KWMC could implement in The Factory that would improve quality of life and help foster a more collaborative environment.
