Schubert's Late Style
In July 2020, I had an essay published in the Bristol Institute for Learning's student research journal. The article explores Schubert's late style, with particular reference to Die Winterreise - a winter's journey. I discuss the piece's potential for being indicative of what is known as "late" - a complete shift from his previous work in the presence of a new self awareness that comes with close proximity to death.
